A Nepal Army staff died and four others were injured when a jeep met
with an accident at Ranikot in Rukum district on Tuesday morning.
NA Constable Asha Lal Tamang of Kavre district died on the spot in the accident.
Tamang was a member of the NA team deployed to construct the Musikot-Burtibang road section, according to the District Police Office, Rukum.
The accident took place after the jeep (Ba 1 Ja 6306) bound for Rukumkot from the temporary camp of the NA located at Sankh VDC in the district fell 100 meters off the road.
Junior Warrant Officer of the Nepal Army, Kumar Bhandari, 40, of Nuwakot district, Nabaraj Thapa, 38, of Sankh Ghorkhadi and his wife Dhansari, and Motiram Thapa, 56, were injured in the accident.
Among the injured, three are said to be in critical condition. They have been brought to the district headquarters after primary treatment at Rukumkot. RSS
