Deuba faction joins CC meeting finally
The Sher Bahadur Deuba faction of the Nepali Congress that had
boycotted a series of formal meetings called by the party leadership has
joined the central working committee (CWC) meeting that started at the
party headquarters, Sanepa, on Friday.
Deuba faction agreed to attend the CWC meeting after the party leadership agreed to look into the issues raised by it concerning the composition of the newly formed ad hoc committees of five of its sister organisations - Nepal Students Union, Tarun Dal, Nepal Women's Association, Indigenous Nationalities Association and Democracy Veterans Association.
The central committee is expected to settle the row over the sister organisations by inducting some more members proposed by Deuba faction.
Deuba faction has been at odds with the party establishment after the latter 'unilaterally' dissolved the central committees of these sister organisations and formed new ad hoc committees, inducting only a few members from Deuba faction.
