Two minors died and three persons went missing after a boat they were travelling in capsized in the scenic Begnas Lake in Kaski district on Wednesday afternoon.

The victims – Auska Gurung (3) and Iveena Gurung (2) – who were earlier rescued by people who saw the boat turn over breathed their last while undergoing treatment at the Western Regional Hospital this afternoon.

Two people who were on the same boat swam to safety while three are still missing. Altogether eight people were travelling on the boat. -Nepalnews
