Maoists split formally; Baidya chief of CPN-Maoist
At the ongoing national conclave of the Maoist hard-line faction in Bouddha, Kathmandu, leader Baiday declared the dissociation from the mother party—UCPN (Maoist), which was elected as the single largest party in the 2008 Constituent Assembly (CA).
According to the leaders attending the conclave, the new party has been named as CPN-Maoist and Baidya would take the leadership of the party. The leaders informed that informal discussions regarding the organisational structure and committee formation are being held.
Though Baidya, in his report, has proposed a 75-member central committee, the conclave could revise it.
The hard-line faction has accused the establishment of turning into revisionist and by losing the revolutionary ideal They had long been claiming that the line of peace and constitution have failed and stressing on the need for preparing another revolution.
