Two among three persons who went missing after a boat capsized in Begnas Lake in Sisuwa Kaski district on the outskirts of Pokhara on Wednesday were found dead on Thursday.

The body of Sushma Gurung (24) and Pushpa Gurung (28) were fished out this afternoon after police initiated a search operation but Prakash Gurung (28) is still missing.

A search team has been fanned out in the lake to hunt for the missing person.

Iveena and Anuska Gurung were rescued by the locals from the scene but died while undergoing treatment yesterday.

Eight persons were on the ill-fated boat, according to a preliminary investigation.

It is learnt that a heavy rain fall accompanied by thunderbolt turned over the boat at around 4:15 pm. -Thehimalayan
