Maoist cadres defect to NC
KATHMANDU: As many as 441 UCPN-Maoist cadres defected to the Nepali Congress, the NC central office claimed on Thursday.
NC President Sushil Koirala welcomed them to the party today.
The Maoist defectors include member of the UCPN-Maoist's Newa State Committee Yam Bahadur Thapa ‘Arun’ and YCL Kathmandu district members Pankaj Malla and Suresh Giri, according to a press statement issued by the party. -THT
