KATHMANDU, MAY 05 - Nepal produced some brilliant bowling to restrict Qatar for 93 runs in the ACC U-19 Elite Cup in Malaysia on Sunday.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Qatar struggled against sharp Nepal i bowling attack and were all out in 36.3 overs. Nepal i bowling attack was spearheaded by Avinash Karn who took four wickets with an economy of 3.46 runs per over. Nepal also flourished in the fielding department they got three batsmen for run out and conceded only seven boundaries.
Sushant Bhari took two wickets and Bhuwan Karki and Nischal Panday registered one each in their account. Uzair Amir top scored with 24 runs from 67 balls.
Nepal , aiming for a record fifth title, made a strong start registering an 84-run victory against Kuwait in the opener on Friday. Qatar , on the other hand, will look to earn their first points after losing their first match against Malaysia by 127 runs. - Ekantipur
