Kathmandu, May 30: The Election Commission (EC) has stood against the Nepal Police Headquarters' decision to transfer Kathmandu Police Chief SSP Ramesh Kharel on deputation breaching the Constituent Assembly (CA) By-election Code of Conduct.



 The EC meeting today has drawn a conclusion that the decision to transfer SSP Kharel on deputation was wrong while the election code of conduct was already in effect.

EC's Spokesperson Bir Bahadur Rai has informed that the decision was made not to allow the transfer of SSP.
