» Locals obstruct vehicle carrying gas cylinders at Ghattekulo

With the shortage of cooking gas--Liquefied Petroleum Gas--(LPG)—showing no sign of returning to normalcy, the locals have started to take the matter into their own hands.

The short supply of fuel products along with the price hike has left the people high and dry.

Locals of Maitidevi-Ghattekulo, took control of a vehicle carrying gas cylinders of Sri Krishna gas on Tuesday morning.


The Tata Mobile (Ba 6 Cha 5481) with 70 cylinders was obstructed by the locals this morning while it was being deported at Nabin Kirala Pasal.

The irate locals took control of the vehicle accusing the dealers of hiding cylinders and black marketing.

Earlier, on Wednesday, locals of Sallaghari, Bhaktapur took control of three vehicles loaded with Himal Gas. (Ekantipur)
